Lobi Stars bus went up in flames while returning from an NPFL game. No life was lost in the accident. The incidence happened during the team road trip back from Illorin where they had beaten Kwara united 1-0 in match day 22 of the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) of Sunday, 1st March, 2020.

Reacting to the ugly incident, a Sports Analyst Mr. Ogbole said the team bus needs replacement as the one they use is no longer in good condition. He said the bus was bought in the Suswam’s administration and that Sports vehicles are not supposed to be used for long time.
Ogbole appeals to the State Government to provide a modern bus to the club especially now that Lobi Stars are competing for the league title.
