A Former Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association Makurdi Branch, Mike T. Assoh Esq, ACArb congratulates the Nigerian Bar Association President elect Olumide Akpata on his victory at the polls. He states that the emergence of Akpata flows from the overwhelming support he enjoys across the 125 Branches of NBA across the country.

The statement further thanks members of Makurdi Branch “Friends for Akpata,” for the massive support that led to the victory at the polls. He equally commended Deacon Dele Adesina SAN, Dr. Babatunde Ajibade SAN (co-contestants) for their show of sportsmanship in the election process.

Assoh appreciates the Learned Silk, Augustine Alegeh SAN, FCIArb (Uk), past NBA President for galvanizing support for Olumide Akpata; members of the Electoral Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association (ECNBA), for living up to expectations, in delivering a credible poll to the Noble profession. The statement also reaches out to Paul Usoro, for putting up the credible team.

Assoh Esq, however calls on the President elect to live up to the expectation of the Bar, particularly his campaign promises and to continue to build on the legacies of Austine Alegeh SAN who introduced the e-voting and universal suffrage voting pattern when finally sworn into office. He congratulates John O. Aikpokpo and Adeyemo Kazeem Debo for their emergence as 1st and 2nd Vice Presidents respectively, the General Secretary Joyce Oduah and her Assistant Nwadialo, Esther Uchena.
