BISHOP APPOINTS NEW PASTOR FOR ST. PETER’S

Father Benedict Bito, VC
Bishop Wilfred Anagbe, CMF, has appointed Father Benedict Bito, VC as the new Parish Priest of St. Peter’s Low-level, Makurdi after the prelate performed rededication rites on October 25, 2020.
Father Bito who was ordained a priest on August 28, 2016 is ministering at St. Wilfred’s Quasi-Parish, Hege, Gwer-East Local Government Area of Benue State.
He is to take over from Father Richard Igyor, OSA, the interim administrator of the rededicated parish.
Bishop Anagbe had suspended pastoral activities in the parish on September 15, 2020 following two sacrilegious attacks on August 12th and September 13th this year.
The suspension was lifted on October 13th after the bishop performed rites of atonement on the Church, preceded by a diocesan novena of reparation.
