CHIEF MRS. CAROLINE MBAFAN EKPENDU Ph. D EMPATHIZES WITH NIGERIAN YOUTHS ;CONDEMNS LEKKITOLLGATE KILLING.

Chief Barr. Mrs. C. M EKPENDU Ph. D.
Following the unprovoked shooting of armless protesting youth at the LEKKITOLLGATE, Lagos State, Caroline Ekpendu a University Don and Legal Practitioner wrote as follows :
“I would like to use this medium to empathize with the #EndSars protesters and their call for a better and greater Nigeria.
I am deeply saddened by the events at Lekki toll gate, where peaceful protesters were killed. I am equally appalled by the killings and attacks visited on peaceful protesters around the country. It is my prayer that all the souls lost in the protests and due to the activities of the now disbanded SARS, Rest In Peace, and that all the perpetrators of these heinous crimes against humanity and God, be brought to justice.
The calls for a Nigeria of the people, by the people and for the people is long overdue. For far too long, our country has been crippled by corruption, greed and all manner of violence and criminality, while our leaders have stood by and done nothing.
I am gladdened that the youths have woken up to this task and I am solidly behind their struggle. It is time to pay more attention to our children and their future, and I hope that government at all levels yield to these excellent demands by the protesters so that we can heal and progress as a nation.
God bless you all and our great country, Nigeria”
