There is serous Hunger , unemployment and anger in this Nigeria. In the past some people go to steal money, but now crowd of people are going to steal food! That should ring a bell in our heads that all is not well . It shows that our poverty index in Nigeria have increased beyond what we are seeing on paper.
Did you see the crowd that went to pack food in some states? Did you see that of Jos? People were so plenty like flies at the venue of the palliatives. The population there was more than a presidential campaign rally in Five States put together.
That sends a message that there is serious poverty, hunger, anger and unemployment in the land .So much that people are not afraid of the security, they perfare to go and die if need be to pack food to eat. This is strange.
I think is time government all levels start to look seriously into the issues of Zero hunger, poverty and unemployment in Nigeria. We need to start looking for a long term solution and not just temporal one like curfew. A wise man once said, ‘When the elite fail to provide basic amenities for the ‘poor’ they rather breed monsters who will hurt them and their children tomorrow”. What we failed to do yesterday is hurting us today and what we fail to do today will hurt us tomorrow.
