HON. TYOAPINE CHEME DESERVES COMMENDATION FOR PROMOTING ETULO CULTURE
On the 20th March, 2021 the Okpashila-Etulo Community of Buruku Local Government Area of Benue State, conferred on Hon. Tyoapine Cheme a Chieftaincy title “UTA-OGBANI” meaning the ‘Reservoir of water of Etulo Land’. The event was put up by the Etulo Cultural and Development Community (ECDC).
The Okpashila-Etulo Day indeed deserves a push for inscription as intangible cultural heritage by the United Nations Education Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) given it uniqueness and richness in terms of costumes which the Majority Leader has been in the forefront of promoting through identification with the people.
