Support Ortoms Peace efforts, Inalegwu Urges Information Staff

Benue State Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism Hon. Michael Inalegwu has called for synergy and co-operation among staff of the ministry for the positive image projection of Benue State, inorder to compliment the achievements of Governor Samuel Ortom in restoring peace, and promoting development in Benue State, ravaged by insecurity and other socio-economic crisis.
“Information dissemination is very essential to the programmes, policies and activities of the Governor Ortom’s administration; hence the need for a planned, strategic and result oriented information drive to be in place in the State,” the Commissioner urged.
This call is contained in a press statement issued recently, by the ministry’s Information Officer, Ayom Dennis. After a meeting presided by the Commissioner, with management staff of the ministry and heads of its parastatals in Makurdi.
Hon. Inalegwu commended the sustained effort of the Governor in tackling the insecurity in the State occasioned by the Fulani Herdsmen militia. He further appealed to the people of the state to support the Governor’s effort to return peace to Benue state.
In separate remarks during the management meeting, Special Assistant to the Governor on Information,James Uloko; Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on ICT, Haruna Ana’s; Director General of Radio Benue, Dr. Charles Iornumbe; Director General, Benue Television Corporation, Dr. Patience Achakpa Ikyor; Executive Director Art Council, Monica Shanyo; Director Tourism, Mrs. Dooter Ajoko; Director Planning, Research and Documentation, Mr. Ben Ebeh, and Director of Culture, Mr Joseph Ogah. Welcomed the Hon. Commissioner and assured him of their support for him to succeed in his new assignment.
