HIGHLIGHTS OF THE (OWA) ORHII WOMEN ALLIANCE’S MEETING IN MAKURDI ON SATURDAY, 26TH FEBRUARY, 2022.

A group under the auspices of Orhii Women Alliance (OWA) held her general meeting in Makurdi at the J S Tarka Foundation on Saturday, 26th February, 2022.

The group which is under the leadership of Dr. Mrs. Bulbwa, who is the chairperson and Mrs. Torkwase Ahembe as Secretary and which is coordinated by the Media Coordinator of the Orhii Campaign Organisation, Dr. Mrs. Aernyi Indira, has it’s membership drawn from women across the length and breadth of Benue State.

At their general meeting in Makurdi, the Chairperson of the group Mrs. Bulbwa, in her opening remarks commended members for their commitment and steadfastness and encouraged them to continue to work hard towards sensitising members of their communities about the greater Benue project.

Dr. Mrs Indira Aernyi , in her separate remarks also thanked members of the group for making time out of their busy schedules to attend the meeting and for choosing to work towards the actualization of Dr. Paul Orhii gubernatorial aspirations. She told members how sellable the candidature of Dr. Orhii was and also took time to highlight some of Dr. Orhii’s ground breaking achievements in academics, private and public service, especially during his tenure as DG NAFDAC. She concluded by encouraging members to return to their communities and share the vision for a greater Benue as championed by Dr. Orhii and urged them not to be committed to the cause.

Members of the group took turns to express their happiness and satisfaction with the greater Benue project and pledged to work hard towards its actualization.

A member of the group, Mrs. Mary Agaja said she has never been interested in politics but was moved by the exceptional leadership qualities of Dr. Orhii and his track record of excellence to join the Orhii Women Alliance to support his Gubernatorial Aspirations. Others who spoke in a similar vein are Mrs. Bridget Akaakohol, Mrs. Mary Chafa, Mrs. Aernyi, Mrs. Veronica Dogo, Mrs. Ahumbe and Mrs. Elizabeth Damhindi.

Members unanimously resolved to return to their homes, families and communities and embark on a door to door sensitization and propagation of the greater Benue project and prayed God Almighty for the success of the Gubernatorial Aspirantions of Dr. Paul Orhii. They also undertook to give wife of the Gubernatorial Aspirant, Barr. Mrs. Eugenia Orhii the needed support at all times.
The meeting came to an end at 5:22pm after Mr. Elizabeth Damhindi led the closing prayer.
