Lent is a time of repentance, forgiveness and redirection. As such, Christians are invited to pray more, love more and forgive more as they journey with Christ in his 40 days fast.

Alms giving is very important during this period. I want to appeal to you all that as humanitarian workers, you should keep this in mind as you work with the POCs and the local communities of your workplace.

Even if you cannot reach out in giving out material or monetary gifts to the POCs and the locals, please comfort yourselves in ways in which they may see Christ in you.

May your working with them especially during this period so endear them to you as if Jesus was working through you.
