BNHOA confirms,State Civil Service Com,Chair,other members ….Eulogises Hon.Arc.Bula in death.

Benue State House of Assembly has screened and confirmed ,Mr William Itodo as the Chairman,Benue State Civil Service Commission.

The House made the screening and confirmation during its Thursday plenary at the assembly complex in Makurdi.

Other three members of the commission who were reappointed by the Benue State Governor ,Samuel Ortom for screening and confirmation were asked to bow and go as a result of their screening and confirmation during their first tenure in office.

The three members reappointed are: Mrs Kerziah Agundu,Mr Myina Agber and Mr Akpa Iduh .

Moving a motion ,the Deputy Speaker,Rt.Hon.Christopher Adaji said ,the nominee for the Chairman of the Commission,Mr Itodo is a well known figure in the State ,having served the State effectively in all assignments saddled on him,while he moved a motion for the confirmation of the Chairman,this was seconded by the Majority Leader,Rt.Hon.Damian Cheme.

Meanwhile,the House of Assembly on Thursday,also held a valedictory session in honour of a former deceased member in the 6th Assembly, Arc. Wilfred Bula.

Hon. Arc. Wilfred Bula represented Gboko East State Constituency from 2007- 2011.

In a funeral Oration, Speaker, Rt Hon Titus Uba described the deceased former member as a brilliant legislator who made valuable contributions to the Legislative business of the House.

” Hon .Arc.Bula who advocated for multi – term representation for lawmakers to earn them requisite experience for optimal performance, enjoyed only a single term, however,his valuable imprints shall continue to live on” Rt.Hon. Uba maintained.

On his part, the Majority Leader, Rt Hon. Damian Cheme regretted the untimely demise of Hon. Arc.Bula and called on all members to continue to pray for the family as well as assist them.

Speaking on behalf of Benue North East, The Tiev Constituency Representative, Rt Hon Terkaa Ucha, the representative of Gboko East Constituency, Rt Hon Ngohemba Agaigbe for Benue North West and Apa State Constituency representative, Hon. Abu Umaru who spoke for Benue South all sympathized with the deceased family and urged them to be consoled by the fact that the deceased impacted humanity positively and has only gone to meet with his creator.

A former Speaker in the 6th Benue Assembly, Rt.Hon. Terseer Tsumba and Chairman, Forum of former legislators, Dr Sylvester Atachin all affirmed that, Arc. Bula was a grassroot politician who was an inspiration to the younger generation, pointing out that his demise was one death too many.

The Clerk, Barr. Benard Nule noted that the deceased was a worthy representative of his people describing his death as a great loss to the State.

In his vote of thanks, The eldest son of the deceased, Mr Msughter Bula said the family was consoled by the support and befitting testimonies of colleagues, friends and associates of their late father and thanked the leadership and members of the 9th Benue Assembly for the honour done their father and the family in particular. #
