NYSC Passing Out Parade: 846 Benue Corps Members Complete Service Year

The Benue State National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), has today, recorded a total number of eight hundred and forty six corps members to have successfully completed the 2021 Batch A stream 2, service year in the state.
While addressing the corps members at the Ibrahim Babangida (IBB) Square, in Makurdi, during the passing out parade ceremony, the Benue State Governor, Dr. Samuel Ortom, expressed delight in scheme’s achievements and contributions to development in the state.
The Benue State Governor who was represented by the Chairman of the NYSC State Governing Board, Teryima Nguher, Hon. Commissioner of Youth and Sports Benue State, advised the outgoing corps members to use the skills and knowledge that had been acquired during the service year, to establish good personal and group relationships that would foster the ideals of patriotism, nationalism and contribute to national development where ever they found themselves.
“The end of your Youth Service should not be the end of your service to humanity, and to contribute to the progress of our nation.” He implored the youths.
Earlier, the Benue State Coordinator, Mr Abe Dankaro Ashumate appreciated the State Governor for his contributions to the infrastructural development at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Wannune, as well as the general assistance given to the scheme that has ensured its smooth operations in the state.
Two corps members that performed outstandingly in community development service were given the State Honours award and the State Coordinator’s Commendation letter, while five others had disciplinary cases.
