He also said the Governor has taken the welfare of workers as top priority by prompt and timely payment of workers’ salaries, pensioners and other benefits to Benue workers. He also said in the aspects of agriculture and security, the governor has done very well as he subsidised fertilizer last year for farmers.

Prof. Akumbur, argued that in terms of security, the Governor is trying so much to eradicate the state from criminality such as militia groups and armed herders in the state, just as he is trying to resettle the IDPs back to their ancestral homes.

Boniface Yagba, a resident of North bank Makurdi, expressed much excitement about the achievements of Governor Alia’s one year in office. He said for many years, this is the first governor that has remembered the residents of North bank by constructing many streets and drainage systems in the area.

Mr. Yagba said the construction of roads and drainages will solve the problem of erosion which has badly affected the area for years.

He maintained that the Governor should not be distracted by enemies of development but rather focus on delivering on his campaign promises to the people.

Rtrd. Sergeant Alfred Omale applauded Governor Alia’s one year in office stating that he has performed very well but needs to do more in terms of insecurity and job creation in the state.

On her part, Mrs. Dorathy kwaghfan of  Gboko town said the Messiah of Benue state,  Fr. Alia has performed excellently in just one year in office, by executing  gigantic projects. Mrs. kwaghfan prayed that God would protect her to witness the completion of the Gboko flyover. She also prayed that God would give Governor Alia the much needed wisdom to succeed in office.
