Celebration Galore As George Akume Clocks 71
Encomiums have continued to trail His Excellency Senator Dr. George Akume’s birthday which took place a few days ago at His Judges Quatres residence in Makurdi, Benue state.
At the top of the pile upon pile of goodwill messages is President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who in a release issued by his Media Adviser, Ajuri Ngelale, commended the SGF for his consistency and perpetual dedication to duty in coordinating the affairs of the government.
He also noted Senator Akume’s rich portfolio of leadership experience and laurels as governor, minister, senator, and top-flight public servant, which he brings to bear in his current role.
President Tinubu celebrates Senator Akume, extolling the temperance, affability, harmony, and stability he consistently personifies as he coordinates activities both within and with other arms of government; making himself accessible, focused, and dependable in bridging the divide between policy and implementation.
According to the President: “George Akume is one of the most reliable citizens this country can boast of. The people of Benue have subscribed his sterling leadership principles and leveraged his remarkable talent for so many years because of what he has always stood for. He will be with you in the best of days, and even most reliably, in the worst of days. The country has been blessed with the dedication and sure-handedness of Senator Akume”
In a related development, Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State and his predecessor, Chief Samuel Ortom, have celebrated the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, on the occasion of his 71st birthday, noting that the grace of God on his life had been his major source of help in life.
While Alia noted that Senator Akume is a beneficiary of the immense grace of God upon his life, his predecessor, Ortom, described Akume as a statesman and leader, whose contributions to the development of the nation was immense.
The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, has also felicitated the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume on the occasion of his 71st birthday.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Levinus Nwabughiogu issued in Abuja, the deputy speaker described Senator Akume as a “master weaver” who has intricately threaded his life’s tapestry with service, dedication, and wisdom.
To many of George Akume’s associates, friends and well-wishers, the SGF’s productive life is a perfect fulfillment of Abraham Licoln’s statement that “in the end, it’s not the years in your life that count, it’s the life in your years.”
