HULK HOGAN: WWE STAR BOWS TO DEATH ON JULY 24, SHOCKS HIS WIFE WITH 3 LAST WISHES

Hulk Hogan, whose real name was Terrence Gene Bollea, died of acute myocardial infarction, commonly known as a heart attack, on Thursday, July 24. The WWE legend had a history of leukemia, according to medical records obtained by PEOPLE, and atrial fibrillation, a common disorder that causes irregular heart beats. Hogan’s history of leukemia, a form of cancer that affects white blood cells, was not previously known.
The New York Post was first to report Hogan’s cause of death. According to the dispatch call on the day of his death, police and medics were called to Hogan’s house in Clearwater Beach, Fla. at 9:51 a.m. for a person suffering cardiac arrest. First responders attempted to revive Hogan for 30 minutes, according to dispatch audio obtained, and then taken to a local hospital where he was declared dead.
WWE confirmed Hogan’s passing. The wrestling company said, “WWE is saddened to learn WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has passed away. One of pop culture’s most recognizable figures, Hogan helped WWE achieve global recognition in the 1980s. WWE extends its condolences to Hogan’s family, friends, and fans.”
Tributes from fellow WWE icons like John Cena and Ric Flair came shortly after Hogan’s death was announced. Flair, 76, said he was “absolutely shocked” by the passing of his “close friend” in a post on X.
Rumors of Hogan’s declining health began spreading in June, claiming he had been hospitalized and was dangerously ill.
Before Hulk Hogan passed away, he had three last wishes. He asked his wife, Sky Daily to help him make them happen. Sky cried all day after hearing them, the truth behind it is truly touching. First, before he died, Hogan secretly got five years’ worth of birthday gifts ready for his wife.
He picked out expensive and super thoughtful gift sets. He just wanted Sky Daily to still feel his love even if he wasn’t around so she wouldn’t feel alone on her birthday. That sweet move made Sky break down in tears.
Secondly, Hogan was worried about the kids he was helping. He had been supporting 100 disabled children for years.
Every year, he gave more than $300,000 to help with their rehab and education. He begged Sky to keep taking care of them. He didn’t want that kindness to end.
Thirdly, he wanted Sky to keep doing Charity work for him. Hogan started his own foundation to help people in need. He helped so many sick and struggling families. He asked Sky to keep it going.
