Gov. Abdullahi Sule Meets 2Baba, Natasha Osawaru on Peace Initiative
The Chairman of the North-Central Governors Forum and Governor of Nasarawa State, His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, on Monday, 18th August, 2025, received Nigerian music icon, philanthropist, and UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador, Innocent “2Baba” Idibia, alongside his wife, Hon. Natasha Irobosa Osawaru, a member of the Edo State House of Assembly, at the Governor’s Lodge in Asokoro, Abuja.
During the meeting, the duo briefed the Governor on a new peace-building initiative by the 2Baba brand, tagged “The United North-Central for Peace Promotion (UNCPP)”. The campaign, themed Music Against Violence, aims to promote peace, dialogue, and tolerance, with Nasarawa State chosen as the host for the maiden edition.
The project is designed to engage youths across the six North-Central states and the Federal Capital Territory through music concerts, awareness campaigns, and humanitarian outreach, with the goal of fostering unity and reducing violence in the region.
Governor Sule commended the initiative and expressed optimism that the campaign would not only strengthen peacebuilding efforts in Nasarawa but also inspire young people across the North-Central to embrace tolerance and mutual coexistence.
