KAI HAVERTZ, ARSENAL MIDFIELDER TO UNDERGO MINOR KNEE SURGERY

Arsenal midfielder Kai Havertz is set to undergo surgery after club doctors and specialists decided it was the best course of action to address his ongoing knee issue, according to David Ornstein.

The procedure is not considered major, and there is optimism that the German international will not face a lengthy spell on the sidelines. The expectation is that Havertz could return relatively soon, once recovery and rehabilitation are completed.

His absence, however, adds to Arsenal’s growing injury list at the start of the new Premier League season.
