GREATNESS FROM ASHES

Nathaniel Mean Awuapila
It was at noon, I sat reflecting on the past days when a peaceful protest turned bloody and great evil was unleashed on the land as unarmed youths were shot in cold blood.
Then I had this vision; from the ashes of defeat arose stocks of hope. A flooding of new faces and new visions from all over the country were seen mobilising. I saw that tribe and age and religion did not matter among them.
I saw that political parties arose with new visions. I saw that cells were being formed within existing political parties. Their priority was one; that beginning from the next dispensation, all candidates shall be “of their stock”. And I said, “Amen”!
Then I asked, ‘when would this day come to accomplishment?’ But I found that this new stock of people would decide the date.
