HELICOPTERS DROPPING WEAPONS , FOOD FOR BANDITS REASON FOR” NO FLY ZONE “
~PRESIDECY.

Yesterday the 3 March, the national security meeting which was presided over by President Mohammadu Buhari imposed a ” no fly zone” order on the airspace of Zamfara state as measures towards combating the bandits whose activities have recently come to be walking the nation closer to collapsing.

This decision would later be explained as stemming from intelligence gathering in which it is clear that Zamfara, a landlock state is likeliest to receive supply by air. Without a conventional airport, recent times the TRANSMITTER learnt have witnessed a busy airspace in Zamfara as helicopters are always seen flying in and out of the state.
Despite the position of the federal government that the decision is purely a security one, Zamfara state Governor, Bello Matewalle has described the decision as political and urged, during his interface with his Ekiti state counterpart, Kayode Fayemi, that the federal rescind on such and pursue other security measures.
In the meantime, Nigerians wait to see the outcome of the Zamfara decision and hope it will put the state and the nation at large, back on the track of peace.
