BARR. JUDE I. NYAM EMERGED CHAIRMAN NBA MAKURDI BRANCH YOUNG LAWYERS FORUM
The Nigerian Bar Association Makurdi Branch Young Lawyers Forum(YLF), today the 12th day of June 2021 elected new officials to man the affairs of the forum, although only the office of Chairmanship was contested the other posts were returned unopposed. In an election that was keenly contested between Jude Nyam Esq, and Member Adiguve Esq, Mr. Nyam polled a total number of 59 votes to defeat his opponent who scored 18 votes.
At the end of the electoral exercise, the Electoral Committee led by Kelvin Iorzenda Esq, declared the results and returned Mr. Nyam as the winner for chairmanship of the forum having polled the highest number of votes. Mr. Iorzenda in his remarks on behalf of the (ELCOM) while presenting the winners with the Certificates of Return thanked all the contestants and commended them for their show of maturity during the entire electioneering process and members of the young noble forum for their cooperation.
An elated Mr. Nyam thanked all his supporters and members of the forum for finding him worthy to serve them in that capacity, he assured them that he will not disappoint the entire members of NBA Makurdi Branch and most especially the YLF for trusting him with their mandate. The newly elected Chairman promised to run an all-inclusive administration as he will always rely on the support of members the forum and most importantly, wise counsel of elders and leadership of the Bar led by Justin Gbagir Esq and the Secretary F. B Mnyim . Above all Mr Nyam stated that, his election is a call to service and thank the Almighty God for finding him worthy of the victory .

- E. N Okwanya Esq – Secretary
- B. T Nyaku Esq – Asst. Secretary
- J. E Eyam Esq – Treasurer
- S. I Anbua Esq- Welfare Secretary
- F. M Namgwa Esq – Financial Secretary
- F. K Anum Esq – Publicity Secretary
The newly elected Officials will be sworn in during the Law Week of the NBA Makurdi Branch coming up next week and will hold office from June 2021 to June 2023.
