FIDA Benue Gets New EXCO

Benue State Chapter of the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) has today 8th December 2021, elected and inaugurated her new executives to pilot the affairs of the organization for a period of three years.

The oath was administered by Damkwa Regina, had the new EXCO pledged to support, obey and defend the Constitution of the organization and to discharge their duties to the best of their abilities.

The unanimous elections had Barrister Prisca Ula as Chairperson, Awashima Addingi, as Secretary, Rachael Imbwaseh (Assistant Secretary), Blessing Ityohuun (treasurer), Ene susan Abu (financial secretary) and Member Adiguve (PRO).

According to the electoral Chairperson, Margaret Atu, the contested positions were unopposed because some candidates who bought the forms to contest were screened out, as they did not meet the requirements for contesting in the elections. She advised them to work together to lift the organization to greater heights.

In a virtual address, the Country Vice President FIDA Emeritus , Rhoda Prevail Tyoden, congratulated the new EXCO, while she enjoined  them to remain humble as the organization is not a political party, but a humanitarian organization with an aim of protecting the Right of women and children.
