There was sensitisation and interactive sessions with Traditional Rulers, Refugees, Students, Clergy, Market women and members of the public, harnessing a way forward to end SGBV.

First Lady of Benue State, Dr Eunice Ortom charged all to take the fight against Gender Based Violence seriously. She stated that all must  join hands to tame the deadly menace. Represented by the Honourable Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development Mrs. Tabitha Igirgi, the Governor’s Wife tasked the traditional rulers to work out modalities on proposed amendments of Customary laws so as to do away with harmful norms.

Dr. Eunice Ortom used the occasion and presented various food and non food items to the refugees including bags of rice, cartons of soap, sanitary pads, bedsheets, detergents, and other toiletries.
