HON.KEN ACHABO FELICITATES NEW COMMISSIONER FOR WORKS AND TRANSPORT – ENGR. SHACHIA JUDE UUNGWA, URGE HIM TO INVEST HIS EXPERIENCE TO TRANSFORM THE MINISTRY
The Special Adviser to the Governor, Bureau of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Hon. Ken Achabo has felicitated the newly appointed commissioner for works and transport, Engr. Shachia Jude Uungwa, who was inaugurated yesterday by the Executive Governor of Benue State His Excellency, Dr. Samuel Ortom, at the Benue Peoplse’ (Government) House Makurdi.
In his goodwill message, the Special Adviser stated that he has no doubt in the abilities of the new commissioner to pilot affairs of the Ministry considering his sound academic background and practical knowledge as civil engineer, having lectured in the University for over 10 years, urging him to settle down quickly and hit the ball rolling by ensuring quality and timely completion of all ongoing projects executed by the ministry so as not to disappoint the Governor and Benue people who are the major beneficiaries of the ongoing rural and township roads being constructed by the Governor across the state.
The Special Adviser expressed gratitude to Governor Samuel Ortom for his magnanimity and love for Tyoshin people as evident in the numerous key appointments given to Tyoshin sons and daughters, likening him to Moses who was sent by God to bring the Israelites out of captivity in Egypt to the promised land.
Barr. Achabo further appealed to Tyoshin people to keep fate with the Ortom led PDP administration in the state that has done so much compared to previous administrations, saying the Governor has sacrificed his life and comfort to speak and stand by the truth and deserves the prayers of all and sundry irrespective of party affiliations to defend the land against marauders who wants to turn our fertile agricultural land into killing fields.
He commended Tyoshin people for always standing by truth and appealed to them to show love, cooperation and support to him (Achabo) and the new commissioner Engr. Jude Uungwa to succeed in their assignments.
