“It Is Time To Work Together” _ FIDA

The Makurdi Chapter of the International Federation of Women Lawyers, (FIDA) has called on all Nigerians, especially members of the association, to join forces, so as to win the war against injustice and other mounting social vices, confronting vulnerable women and children in Benue state.
Chairperson of the association, Prisca Ula Esq, made this call on Friday, during a welcome address presented at its first general meeting, held at JS Tarka foundation, Makurdi.
“The elections has come and gone, it is time that we all work together, not minding our political camps, so that we can achieve the basic mandate FIDA was created for, which is to protect the vulnerable women and children in our society,” she said.
She further enjoined members of the public to keep faith with the association, as it is set to roll out advocacy campaigns, and outreach programmes, to commemorate the international women’s day, on the 8th of March, and children’s day, 27th of May 2022.
At the course of the meeting, his worship, Barr. Mrs Rose Iorshe, swore-in the association’s elected assistant public Relations Officer, Iveren Cleopatra Esq. And a certificate of office was also presented to her.
