The former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice Chief Michael Aondoakaa, SAN has declared that the state has come to the position that either it gets it right or the State crashes in 2023.

The frontline aspirant for governorship under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) tipped his team the wink during an interface, saying: “We have come to the position in the state that either we get it right in the next governoship election or the State will crash.”

Justifying his claim on the precarious position of the state to negotiate for the best candidates in 2023, Aondoakaa said: “We have four universities in the state. There is no other state in the country, except the southern states that have universities that produce graduates. Our graduates are highly law abiding. Without jobs and with knowledge, they are still law abiding. We cannot continue to stretch them further without creating an environment for them to be self-productive or engage them productively,” he said

Speaking further, the learned silk spoke on food productivity in the state by noting that security for the farmers is non-negotiable in that regards when he avowed that: “We must provide security for our farmers to bring us back to become the food basket of the nation and not just to have an empty basket at the roundabout. We must make sure that it is not a symbolic basket, but we are at the forefront of food production in Nigeria and at the forefront of food export in the country,” he said.

The aspirant who is the Chairman, Board of Directors MIKAP Nigeria Limited, the producers of Miva rice also let slip on why he is gunning for the most coveted seat, stating: “My interest of becoming the next governor is also for us to live harmoniously with our neighbours. We will create an environment that both our traditional leaders and our youths interact in social events at high levels outside the state and outside the country to give us required exposure to achieve greatness.”

Opening up more on his interest in the 2023 race, he avouched that: “My interest is to change the narrative in this State. I wwill give selfless services to my people. I have asked God for one thing, let me be governor and offer selfless service to Benue people. If this is not my interest, let me not be Governor.”
