We Have the Power and Exposure to Develop the State than We Have Realized – AONDOAKAA
Dam Obed,
10th March, 2022 –
Chief Michael Aondoakaa, SAN has disclosed that the people of Benue State have the power and exposure to develop the state than they have realized as productive, smart, exposed and knowledgeable people in all spheres of life.
The Governorship aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC stated this today, at his residence when he returned from a business trip abroad, he embarked on two weeks ago.
“I have always maintained that Benue people are productive, smart, exposed and knowledgeable to fix the state. We always outshine our contemporaries in virtually all endeavours, where knowledge and practical solutions to social, economic, cultural and political problems are required. Benue people have the power and exposure to develop the state than we have realized,” he said.
He charged the people of the state to look away from their present condition and reposition themselves by becoming more careful in making choices and not compromise in supporting the best candidates to win elections in 2023.
“As 2023 closes out fast, we must not become pessimistic about the candidates we have to choose by feeling discouraged with such notions that candidates who appear to have the capacity to serve the state right, eventually turn worse than their predecessors. As much as we have good instances to give and we have been disappointed repeatedly, we must not pass sweeping judgements on all candidates by concluding that politicians are the same. We have been deceived by politicians but there are politicians who are truly prepared to serve the State.
“We must trust our political parties, be determined to ensure the best candidates emerge as flag bearers and ensure that government is reasonably operated on terms of the people. This is achievable and we can start in 2023.”
The former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice commended members of the party for standing firmly in support of the party and the leader of the party Sen. Dr. George Akume, whom he expressed confidence in the prayers offered for him to become the National Chairman of the party, stating that: “Our leader is the best person the zone ought not to have prolonged the process in making him the consensus candidate. I am sure that our prayers have reached heaven and God will help him to prevail,” he avouched.
