Bawa Elected President
Abdulrasheed Bawa, Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has been elected as the President of the Network of National Anti-Corruption Institutions In West African (NACIWA). Bawa was elected at the ongoing Annual General Assembly of the Institution.
Bawa took over from Francis Ben Kaifala (African Union Advisory Board and Head of Sierra-Leone Anti-Corruption Agency). Kaifala’s three year term comes to an end on 31st March, 2022. Bawa needs the prayers of the saints for a successful tenure as he assured,” I will do everything within my powers to take NACIWA to the next level”.
The EFCC Boss in a post election speech opined that, , he is passionate to make a positive change and will use his intelligence and focused to be able to achieve result. He said further that he is he is determined, with his Team to make an impact for a better Nigeria and for West Africa.
