The State Executive Council meeting which proceeded the inauguration of committees commenced at the instance of the chapter Chairman and several matters of importance were deliberated upon.

The resolutions made include, among others, the following:
1. That the agenda/blueprint for 2022 – 2024 presented to and adopted by the SEC be forwarded to each of the inaugurated committees to aid them work in consonance with the administration’s mandate.
2. That the chapter resumes its monthly webinar starting from May 2022.
3. That Chapter’s defunct newsletter be reawakened to be published on quarterly basis beginning from August/September 2022.
4. That orientation for the new SEC members should hold on Friday, 6th May, 2022.
5. That the chapter’s monthly physical fitness activities be resumed (referred to the Social and Welfare Committee for immediate action).

Dr. Yange endeared the committee heads and their members to stick to the agenda/blueprint of the administration.

He further enjoined all members to work across committees as it is our collective task. Also, that those who are not members of any committee should not feel less important as it is not possible to have all of them in committees at a time, and he assured that they would definitely do some assignments for the Society as time goes on.

“That the profession is ours and we must do everything possible to promote it as the medics and other professionals cannot leave their outdated professions and promote ours. Rather, at the slightest opportunity, they would try to make us feel inferior so that people would continue to respect them. Thus, it is “we” (the IT professionals) that can make the entire world know the lucrative nature of our profession”, he added.
