Benue Political Class Say Governor Alia Has Demonstrated Commitment for a Greater Benue

In his assessment, Hon. Terwase Shiika, Convener of SERACO Campaign Organisation for Fr. Alia Makurdi LGA Chairmanship hopeful said, “Governor Alia has done very well within his first year in office. It is a mark that we have experienced before.” Hon. Shiika mentioned a few achievements of the Governor, which include his “priority charge on workers and pensioners, renovation of the State Secretariat and the construction of many roads within one year.”
He urged Benue people to continue to support the Governor in his bid for a greater Benue.
Hon. Engr. Fidelis Atser, Chairmanship contender for Vandeikya LGA appreciated Gov. Alia for the wonderful works done so far. he said “since the inception of democracy in the State no Governor has done what Fr. Alia has achieved just within one year in office.”
Hon. Atser listed some projects carried out by the governor saying “so far those have positively affected the lives of Benue people.”
He salutes the Governor for “frequent and prompt payment of workers’ salaries and pensions from 24th and 25th of every month, procurement of buses for Benue Links Company and transportation subsidy for residents in the State.”
Hon. Atser listed the gigantic ongoing under-pass in Makurdi and Gboko as monumental within the first year in office.”
Hon, Atser projected that with “this wonderful performance, Fr. Alia’s 2nd term bid will be seamless.”
He congratulated His Excellency on his one year anniversary and prayed that God continue to give him the strength to succeed.
Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to Governor Alia on Agriculture and Resource Management, Hon. Ormin Torsar Victor, also commended his principal for the steps so far. He scored the Governor above 80% and says that “despite starting from zero level, the Governor has done what other Governors achieved in four 4 years.”
The SSA and Chairmanship contender for Gwer West LGA highlights some projects carried out by the Governor and maintains that “in the area of agriculture “the Governor has a robust plan for farm inputs to support farmers; tractors are on the way.
In the area of security the Ngulyanga U Tyoshin says “Governor alia is assiduously working out strategies to end militia activities as well as the perennial attacks on Benue farmers by the marauding killer herdsmen. Already, a law has been passed by the State Assembly for a set security network. This will complement the regular security structure and end all forms of security breaches in the State.”
He professes that “with high level national and international partnerships, in the next four years, Benue State will be an attraction for all.
Former Press Secretary to Benue State House Assembly Speaker and former SA to Governor Ortom, Hon. Sam Agbo also scores Governor Alia with good grades. In words, “the Governor has started very well, that we can see in the quality of roads constructed so far among many other strides.”
He is quick to add that in the area of Agriculture, the Governor needs to improve in the area of prompt and timely distribution of fertiliser to farmers.
Hon. Agbo also calls the attention of the Governor on the 3 million Palm trees he promised Benue residents.
Hon Agbo also said the incessant attacks by gunmen have persisted and should be tackled as soon as possible to enable farmers to go back to their farmlands and settlements.
Hon. Agbo urged His Excellency to establish a smooth working relationship with his appointees as a team for him to succeed in his pro masses agenda for Benue State.
Agbo congratulated the Governor on the occasion of his one year anniversary and prays that God continues to give him the wisdom and strength to succeed.
