GROUP FELICITATES WITH NBA MAKURDI BRANCH CHAIRMAN
Some members of the Strength in Disability Initiative Organization with The NBA Chairman

Members of the Strength in Disability Initiative Organization, a Non -Governmental Organization with the objective of promoting the rights and privileges of People Living with Disabilities (PWD), Monday paid a courtesy call to the new NBA Chairman, Makurdi Branch, Justin Gbagir Esq, to felicitate with him and congratulate him on his victory and successful inauguration.
The visit which was led by the founder of the NGO, Miss Faith Yaasa, in her congratulatory message, on behalf of the Board of Trustees of the Organization said: “the essence of the visit was to congratulate Justin Gbagir Esq, as the chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Makurdi Branch.” She further said that Justin Gbagir was selfless on issues of People Living with Disability: “he has been the voice of many with no voice. Barrister Gbagir has worked tirelessly to make sure that justice and rights of Persons Living with Disability are protected.” She concluded by saying that the position is an added advantage to persons with disability and the Law profession.
Miss Yaasa enjoined the Chairman to use his new office, to continue to fight for the rights of the community of persons living with disabilities.
Responding on behalf of the EXCO, Justin Gbagir thanked the group for finding time to identify with him as the new NBA Chairman. He said the Strength in Disability Initiative Organization was the first to send him a congratulatory message, which was followed up with the courtesy call. Gbagir appreciated the initiative of the group and promised to carry them along as the chairman of the Bar.
The Chairman recalled that when he assumed office on the 8th of June 2020, he and the EXCO decided to set aside two days for a retreat and one of their resolutions was to promote the rule of law. He said the visit is a reminder that in promoting the rule of law, he will streamline the activities of the persons with disability in the NBA programme.
The Chairman promised to remain committed in his line of duty. He reiterated that his office is always open for everyone.
The Executive Director of the organization was accompanied on the visit by the Executive Secretary, Jemima Yaji and the Financial Secretary, Igbana Mathias who in their separate remarks applauded the Chairman and encouraged him to always seek the face of God in all his endeavors.
The Chairman was presented with a congratulatory cake by the visiting group.
