Benue Basketball League kicks off in Benue
A statement made available by Former Secretary Sport Writers Association of Nigeria, Daniel Uza reveals that, Basketball League Benue, BLB 2022 is to kickoff in Benue with participating teams from Makurdi, Gboko and Otukpo.
According to Uza, the League kicks off on Saturday 3rd September at the Aper Aku Stadium, Makurdi by 8AM. Matches will also be played at BSU Second gate.
The Initiator, Fanen Iornem having successfully ran the Abuja City Basketball League, ACBL forover 8 years is bringing the idea back to his home, Benue so as to help grow the game of basketball in the State.
The Primary aim of the League is to give young talents the opportunity to play and develop their game and also to help coaches with the platform to up their game.
Teams will also have the chance to show case theirs quad.
Mr Iornem will be partnering the MIBAHA foundation and Benue State Sports Council for a successful tournament.
